DIVERSITY ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND ACTIVITIES

  • First African American Male to be admitted to the Bar through the Ware County, Georgia Superior Court (1983).
  • First African American Male to serve as President of the Waycross Bar Association (1996).
  • First and only African American Male from the Waycross Judicial Circuit to serve on the State Bar of Georgia Board of Governors from 1996 to 2007. (Retired).
  • First African American Male to be appointed as County Attorney to the Ware County, Georgia Board of Commissioners, January, 2002 through January, 2010.
  • First African American Male to be appointed as City Attorney to the City of Waycross, Georgia Board of Commissioners, February, 2010 to July, 2014.
  • Appointed by the Judicial Council of Georgia to serve on The Board of Court Reporting. Sworn in by The Honorable Anne Barnes of the Court of Appeals of Georgia on January 9, 2008, in Chambers.
